Specific Responsibilities:
- Keep the workplace clean and orderly.
- Comply with instructions provided by supervisor or designees.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of boilers, steam-driven appurtenances, steam and water piping, feedwater systems, and other steam and hydronic systems.
- Observes steam boilers in operation to identify problems and their sources.
- Operate machinery such as but not limited to forklifts, telehandlers, skid-steer loader, backhoe.
- Performs piping removal and installation, fitting, and bending.
- Remove and replace defective parts using lifting equipment such as overhead cranes as required.
- Become proficient in Aire Serv's certified welding procedures.
- Develop a working knowledge of specialized steam boiler construction, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Fabricates parts using machine and hand tools, welders, cutting torches, plasma cutters, and other metalworking equipment.
- Documents work as required.
- Perform additional duties as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Full-time, minimum forty (40) hours per week. Regular shop hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Shift has regular variations due to changing projects, priorities, and other factors.
- Work is primarily indoors, though many duties will require occasional outdoor work in all weather conditions in all seasons.
- Work requires regular social contact with Team Members, customers, and vendors.
- Occasional exposure to very hot or very cold temperatures.
- Frequent exposure in a shop setting to soot, dust, oil, paint, and other potentially hazardous substances.
- Frequent work in areas of restricted movement.
- Frequent need for personal protective equipment.
- Extended periods of walking or standing.
- Frequent lifting of more than 50 pounds.

As Service Professional Technician, you are a key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient installation, service, maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems. You will also develop new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional work. Exemplifying our code of values by showing respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.
Ideally, you have prior experience in the HVAC industry and have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. You are self-motivated, thrive in fast-moving environments, and able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.
