Job Description:
Aire Serv/Suffolk Mechanical is seeking a driven and organized Commercial/Industrial Service Manager / Scheduler to lead our service operations team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in mechanical systems, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily operations of the service department, including scheduling and dispatch of technicians.
- Conduct and lead regular safety and service meetings to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Ensure company-wide safety compliance and employee training, including OSHA standards and job-specific protocols.
- Maintain compliance with R-1 welding procedures and documentation as required for code work.
- Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance for the service fleet to ensure operational readiness.
- Monitor and manage service staff time accountability, efficiency, and performance.
- Collaborate with customers, project managers, and technicians to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate service records, schedules, and performance reports.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers to uphold Aire Serv’s reputation for reliability and quality.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in service management or mechanical field operations (boiler, HVAC, or pipefitting industry preferred).
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial mechanical systems, including boilers, piping, and welding operations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in service management software is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and enforcing safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
